The Konjac sponge is a sustainable, vegan and 100% natural sponge made from vegetable fibers of the Konjac root.  The Konjac Sponge has been used in Japan first as a bath sponge for newborn babies for more than 100 years because of its soft texture making it a popular choice as a facial cleansing sponge.

These Konjac Sponges have a unique propriety layer that can hold water very well. When the sponge is saturated with water, its surface is covered by a water layer. This water layer on the sponge's surface constantly acts as a buffer to the skin and the layer forms a barrier between the sponge and the skin. As a result, the skin is never in direct contact with the fiber and it will not scratch and damage the skin even with hard scrubbing.
Sold singularly and measuring approximately 7 cms x 4 cms you can choose from Rose, Charcoal or Natural.

Our Rose Konjac sponge is packed with pink French clay. This sponge is essential for those suffering from the weather extremes of air conditioning, excess sun exposure and central heating. Natural pink French clay gently purifies even the most sensitive skin and has a softening and plumping effect, improving elasticity and refreshing your skin’s appearance.

Our Konjac Sponge is packed with mineral-rich charcoal powder that deep cleans pores to eliminate blackheads and dirt whilst absorbing excess oils and toxins. A natural antioxidant, it kills stubborn acne-causing bacteria and is an effective treatment for spot-prone skin.

Our Natural Konjac Sponge is free from any additives or clays to ensure it’s suitable for the most sensitive of skin. Simply soak for a few moments until silky smooth to experience a deep yet gentle exfoliation and cleanse.

As well as being passionate about what goes into my products I'm passionate about what goes around them (and one of the reasons I make bar soap is because I want to minimise single use plastic). You eat with your eyes right? So I had a long think about packaging, I want you to see the products when they're on display but didn't want to use plastics so I decided to use a fully home compostable cellophane for the body soaps. Composting is king! Recycling takes up energy but these wrappers can be composted at home in a well managed compost heap and can even go in council food bins.

Here’s a link to find out more about the wrappers.

When I'm mailing out your orders I want them to arrive in the same condition as they left and I use packaging that’s either reused, made from recycled materials or is recyclable.

Because of the work I’ve done on eliminating single use plastic Superfly Soap has been awarded Plastic Free Champion status from Surfers Against Sewage but the work continues and I'm constantly looking at ways I can reduce the use of SUP's in the production side of the business.
