Our Coconut solid shampoo bar is vegan friendly, SLS free and zero waste. They have a luxurious lather and don’t feel like your washing your hair with a bar of soap!
Solid shampoo bars are the perfect solution to reducing single use plastic and an easy option to take with you on your travels. All our shampoo bars are wrapped in vegan friendly paper, printed with eco inks but you have the choice of wrapped or unwrapped (naked) when ordering. You will receive one of our generously sized bars (100g-110g). You will also receive information on using an SLS free shampoo bar for the first time or check it out here to see if it's for you.
We use a combination of oils and butters to cleanse and nourish your hair and scalp, ingredients include Macadamia Nut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Rice Bran Oil and Coconut Oil. This bar contains a very light coconut fragrance.
This bar is suitable for normal to dry hair and is suitable for coloured hair.
Shampoo bars last much longer than their liquid equivalent weight for weight but you should also look after your bar to ensure it lasts as long as possible. Keep it out of water when not in use, a soap dish or wire rack in your shower is ideal. The bars are big enough that you can cut them in half, keeping some dry for later meaning they will last even longer!
Our products are produced in a nutty environment so please bear this in mind for any nut allergies.
Sodium Ricate (rice bran oil), Sodium Cocoate (coconut butter), Sodium Cocoa Butterate (cocoa butter), Sodium Macadamiate (macadamia oil), Sodium Castorate (castor oil), Glycerin, Parfum
As well as being passionate about what goes into my products I'm passionate about what goes around them (and one of the reasons I make bar soap is because I want to minimise single use plastic). You eat with your eyes right? So I had a long think about packaging, I want you to see the products when they're on display but didn't want to use plastics so I decided to use a fully home compostable cellophane for the body soaps. Composting is king! Recycling takes up energy but these wrappers can be composted at home in a well managed compost heap and can even go in council food bins.
Here’s a link to find out more about the wrappers.
When I'm mailing out your orders I want them to arrive in the same condition as they left and I use packaging that’s either reused, made from recycled materials or is recyclable.
Because of the work I’ve done on eliminating single use plastic Superfly Soap has been awarded Plastic Free Champion status from Surfers Against Sewage but the work continues and I'm constantly looking at ways I can reduce the use of SUP's in the production side of the business.
